Aries Portal is an independent informational website about consumer antivirus and everyday online security, written for readers in Australia. It is published by Dokanis s.r.o. The site explains the security-software category, describes how to compare products within it, and links to some of them. Where a link to a product is a paid affiliate link, we say so plainly, both beside the link and on our affiliate disclosure page.

We are not a software vendor, a reseller, or an authorised partner of any brand we describe, and this is not the official site of any product. We do not sell or host software, and we do not collect anything from you: there are no forms, no sign-ups and no accounts anywhere on this site.

Our editorial method — stated honestly

It is fair to ask how a site like this decides what to cover and in what order, and we would rather tell you directly than leave you to guess.

Our coverage is deliberately narrow. We focus on the consumer security category and on a small number of products within it, including at least one — TotalAV — with which we have a commercial relationship through an affiliate programme. That relationship is the reason those products appear here. We want to be candid about that, because a site claiming broad, disinterested independence it does not have is exactly what readers should distrust. An honest narrow scope is more useful than a false broad one.

What that relationship does not do is decide how we describe a product. When we write about any product, we limit ourselves to things we can state responsibly: what kind of tool it is, how its general category works, and how you can verify current details — features, plans and pricing — on the vendor’s own site. We do not publish invented test scores, star ratings, or quotes from unnamed people; we do not use superlatives as if they were facts; and we do not tell you a product is the best or the safest, because no one can honestly promise that. Where a general claim can be checked, we link the primary source — often an Australian government service or an independent testing laboratory — so you can confirm it yourself rather than take our word for it.

How we write

We write in plain Australian English and in a patient, educational voice, because the topic is worth understanding rather than rushing. We do not use urgency, fear, or manufactured alarm to move readers toward a purchase — no countdowns, no warnings that your device is at risk, no simulated scans. Real risk is best understood calmly, the way Australia’s own cyber security advice is written. If we make a factual claim, we aim to support it with a source you can check; if we cannot, we phrase it as general guidance or leave it out.
